The Apl Story
The journey of Allan Pineda, a.k.a Apl.de.apof the Black Eyed Peas, from Barrio Sapang Bato, Pampanga to the top of the music world has inspired many Filipinos all over the world. We had a chat about his odyssey last July. My story in the San Francisco Chronicle and the podcasts of our conversations ran in August. This is the interview that really got me hooked on Podcasting, and made me realize how this new medium can be used to tell our story, our diaspora.
Coming up next, the Tagalog-English portion of my conversation with Apl.

Hi Boying,
I've passed on your "interview" sa kaibigan ko sa "Radyo SBS" and I think she will get in touch with you, as she is (or was) very keen to play portions of your Apl interview sa Filipino program niya.
And by the way, my son and I got to meet Apl backstage sa BEPs Sydney concert noong 2 October. He still remembers your interview - "ah yung kay Boying..." We gave him 2 tubao(s) and me and my son believe na he was wearing one sa concert itself, though yung tubao ay nakasilip sa kanyang sombrero.
Hi Lina
Thanks for the message. Good to hear Apl remembers our conversation. Ingat and keep in touch
Boying
